I know I always on about the gilt gloss dials but I really have found space that narrows the focus to the gilt years and what a joy on the wrist. Very hard to translate to pictures especially just using the iPad as a camera. Here is a little more detailed...

in the glossy gilt period especially the 5512 and 5513 pre 1965 sets. But always working on a new theme. I think the Doxa collection you will soon see will be very complete. Diving theme for the early years around the saturation divers just the main ones ... 

Early years of Diving watches: the Fifties... Up to the early Seventies, you have 20 years to cover, and believe me, that is a theme which requires some years of hunt, as a big part of these birds are rare and tough to catch... But I am so happy to see th...

... that's the one! I've been debating lately about finding that nice, great, vintage watch. Something old school. Something really vintage. Something gilt. Something with some great history. These criteria led me to a gilt, 4 line 5512. Now that I've see... 

4 line gilt non chapter ring is a great target but you need to be sure the serial range puts it in the 1964-1966 range to be safe and a 1.4 million serial. There is always a chance is could tickle the 1.5 mil range but try and go for a solid 1.4. Good luc...

I think you are correct (i.e. one in one out not one is better than the other) in moving the collection around but is is always so hard. Best of luck. Bill
