Watches and Wonders 2026: Tudor Black Bay 54 Blue.
The Black Bay 54 Black was issued in 2023. The good idea was to offer to this watch a smaller ( 37 mm ) and thinner case ( 11, 24 mm, now ). The black dial is gorgeous, and gives to this watch a vintage look which reminds us of the, or should I say THE vintage reference, the 7922.
This year, Tudor comes back to this reference with a blue dial and bezel, a Tudor Blue, which we saw on the Submariners from the 70's.
The movement is the Cal MT 5400, which is " COSCED " ( -2 + 4 secs per day, from memory) , and this is my regret here, as I would love to see it even more accurate with the Master Chronometer certification. It beats at 28, 800 vph, and has a good autonomy of 70 hours.
This watch comes with a rubber strap, or a bracelet. Here, the bracelet is my choice.
Now I would have loved to see a thinner case. The movement is 5 mm high, so there is some place for a 1 or 2 mm thinner case, in my opinion. Still, this watch is really nice looking, and not over priced!

... but this color just doesn't do it for me. Something too bright or bold about this blue. I love the black one, however, as well as the recent updates to the BB58. Alas, I have the 'old' 58 but still love it.
