are quite apparent;much more so when compared with the new sub for instance. And you will have no doubt as to which one you have on your wrist, The DS is an extreme watch and yet is quite livable and I find myself choosing it more often over the 14060.

The danger of comparing an icon...
... to anything else, is that an icon will always wins as it has already the icon status. But put that on the side, the deepsea is an exciting watch, bold, daring, powerfull.... you name it. If i had to choose, i'd go for the deepsea or a really nice vint...

Interesting and disturbing.
Unless it is interesting BECAUSE it is disturbing! Take them separately, they have their own interest and charm. Put them side by side, and the thickness of the Deep Sea is as impressive as it can be disturbing, compared to the more coherent size of the 1...

The Deepsea was major technical feat...the design of the watch not dictating the function but rather the correct way round It is for me the Concord moment in dive watches (mechanical), the Millau bridge...Buggati Veyron... Imran
