So which one do you prefer? The sub is a classic and most will find it comfortable to wear.
The old clasp,although practical is not exactly high tech and can do with an upgrade IMO.
The Deepsea is undoubtedly imposing and a monster compared to the sub.But I find it easy to live with and once the bracelet is properly sized,
not at all uncomfortable. I do like many things about the DS;every time I glance at it I feel a jolt of adrenaline!Best to have both though.

As I have both, but my sub has the date and turns 20 this year, I must confess that I like both a lot. Lovely pictures. Best regards, George

The danger of comparing an icon...
... to anything else, is that an icon will always wins as it has already the icon status. But put that on the side, the deepsea is an exciting watch, bold, daring, powerfull.... you name it. If i had to choose, i'd go for the deepsea or a really nice vint...

Interesting and disturbing.
Unless it is interesting BECAUSE it is disturbing! Take them separately, they have their own interest and charm. Put them side by side, and the thickness of the Deep Sea is as impressive as it can be disturbing, compared to the more coherent size of the 1...

The Deepsea was major technical feat...the design of the watch not dictating the function but rather the correct way round It is for me the Concord moment in dive watches (mechanical), the Millau bridge...Buggati Veyron... Imran
