Seiko

For everybody else this is just unremarkable, beat-up old Seiko with a 0-Jewel Quartz Movement and a rattly, folded bracelet. But for me this is so much more - it was the first "real" watch I got from my parents when I was about 12 years old. Fast forward...  

That watch possesses a higher value to you than the most expensive watch in the world.

indeed - this watch has a special place in my heart because so many memories are attached to it.

You are a lucky guy! Now speaking as the reviver, getting a small mechanical object functioning again gives a great satisfaction to do-it-yourselfers, in any realm but watches are especially fun, for me. I had the same experience when I worked in a bicycl...  

I'm also very surprised every time I put one of my bracelets in the ultrasonic cleaner...

As per coincidence i have been wearing my only Seiko quartz for the past two days now. It was also gifted to me … by a friend. ...  

Quite a bit older than mine, but damn, are these watches tanks. Pretty much invincible!
