my two cents for those who might be curious!
today i did see the sla043 in person, along with the sla037 hi-beat, sla039 hi-beat monobloc and sla041 tuna. the tuna is a beast but actually fits on wrist better than sla039, since due to strap attachment the tuna hugs the wrist whereas the 039 wears most top heavy.
all were fun to look at and try on, but none were for me. had one a wrist/body frame like arnold or even sylvestor, the tuna would be the most fun to wear. i think the monobloc sla039 needs a better strap which would help its wearability -- if one found the right strap, the 039 would be good too.
honestly, the smallest ones, the 043 and 037 were the least appealing to me.
for an everyday beater watch, methinks the new spb143 is a much better modern looking watch and despite the lesser 6r35 movement, at 1/3 price, is hard to beat. the dealer was sold out of this one, so i am on the list when more arrive for another wrist try-on.
