Wrong! Take of the bezel and crystal, and the dial is actually extremely textured. But visible only in certain angles.




This one of course, with the gradient dial from light to dark going outwards, plus texture.




Not exactly a "Grand" Seiko, but priced like one, this is the commemorative edition Astron, before the name was given to the GPS self-adjusting line. It's high accuracy quartz in a ti-ceramic case, with the ink-black glossy dial to match the ceramic case and bezel.

And finally the Credor Chronometer from decades ago, in white gold and black dial


 

It looks like it has tuxedo stripes on the dial (above) but not in the shot below
