I had my fair share of misgivings about this most unconventional of GSs when I first saw press photos of it a few months ago (as I suspect did a good many others), but once lured into its danger-laden lair (that would be the nearby AD, with full GS select...  

While I might not have the wrist to pull it off (says the man who just posted a shot of his 51mm Izul 😂) it does look excellent on you! The case shape is super intriguing and I love the small details like the paw prints on the inside of the strap. How doe... 

The watch feels snug and comfortable on the wrist, but its height certainly isn't conducive to fitting under cuff sleeves and I expect that it will inevitably invite future clashes with door frames and the like! The Lion logo outside of the savannah, let ... 

So in essence the regular GS Lion in other words 😊 At first thought it was a sports franchise or something 👍🏻🤷🏻‍♂️

so I suppose "Tokyo" is a reference to Seiko's HQ in the city.

I haven’t heard anything about it other than “it’s so thick”. To me, it it’s the spiritual descendant of the Seiko Galante series of watches, also Spring Drive powered. And Yes, I did buy this watch and wear it (for awhile), circa 2008. Cheers, Cazalea ...  

The TLT is undoubtedly thick enough to be off-putting to some, but as a long-time MR-G fan, I'm used to it The Galante line was very cool, as it pushed a lot of design boundaries. In that way, definitely a spiritual ancestor!

But I don’t have any watches with these dimensions. It’s on my list to see in person though.

I have to admit, the first words out of my mouth when trying it on were, "man, it's big." 😄😀 Hope you like it when you try it, like I did!

This is such a strong and unique design. Even if it isn’t the kind of watches I’m personally attracted to, I definitely understand the appeal. Wear it in the best of health. Life must feel like a great adventure with such a timepiece on the wrist ! Best, ...

It may be just me and I mean no offence but it sort of reminds me of the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Concept watches. wear and enjoy it in good health. Marc

I can see the resemblance as well, but I believe that the TLT's design can be seen as an evolution (a buffed version) of the earlier (non-Tentagraph) GS Tokyo Lion models which, for some reason, did not appeal to me.

I understand that it is quite a monster (and a monstrosity to some!) !

The dial has great depth and the concave, cupped sub-dials are a cool touch.
