They’ve also strengthened the motor so the hands don’t wobble, made the date change instantaneous, revised the adjustment of hours so the movement never stops, etc etc.

I really like my regular 9F, even if it is *only* +10 / -10 seconds per year.
However, when Citizen offers +5 / -5 seconds in regular series, and has done limited editions at +1 / -1 second per year, I wonder if Grand Seiko needs to raise their bar...

Interestingly
I have been eyeing one citizen with their 1 second a year movement in titanium preferably.
I still think GS could kick it up a notch by making +/- 5 their standard.
On the other side though, The Citizen brings a perpetual calendar, and titanium too. I'm happy to have both,
