As I mentioned, Singapore has a wide range interesting places to eat. While we have done some of the ‘classic’ dishes, such as chilli crab, on previous visits, this time we wanted to sample some of the finer European influenced establishments to gauge how... 

Iggy’s has been at the Regent since 2004 and is an intimate space designed to showcase the food. We sat at the long bar where we had glimpses into the kitchen. The service was excellent and engaging – so many high-end establishments can be a little too me...

Lunch at Au Jardin was in a beautiful setting amongst the tranquil tropical gardens. An oasis amongst the humid greenery. A pleasant lunch, but nothing very inventive. I will let the images speak for themselves....  

Gunther’s is a French-influenced restaurant in the Garibaldi stable, named after the head chef Gunther Hubrechsen. Located around the corner from Raffles it was a pleasant experience with attentive staff. Fun to see the ‘raw’ (read “still kicking”) ingred...  

Fresh live seafood, marbled beef, and a selection of cheeses....what a meal! Which was the best dish? -MW

Actually the sashimi scallop was nicely done as was the egg with jamon and mushroom (I love breakfasts, although this was obviosuly dinner). Andrew

of myself... I'm Singaporean and have not been to 3/4 of the food places you have been to.... but truth be told, I'm very much an eat to live person... Glad you have a good time here.

A visit to Singapore would not be complete without a Singapore Sling at Raffles Hotel. Iconic +++...

Well there are so many recipes for Singapore Sling, and even the original version, created by Ngiam Tong Boon a century ago, is lost. I would hope that Raffles gets it ‘right’ more than others, seeing as they invented it. It is certainly a tan...
