I think these threads are fun, and the cool thing is we all get a look at other hobbies and interests.
I clean my guns every time I shoot them. That is not entirely necessary on something like the 1911, which is a real workhorse, but most gun enthusiasts enjoy the process of maintaining their firearms. As far as a masterclass, I will leave that up to Ming and Ed. I consider them our resident experts, and learned a lot myself from talking with them both at IGOTT2 and since.
