I can still remember
actually it was one of my first real memories..being 3 years old. It was a hot day In Manhattan and my mom sat me down in my parents bedroom in front of a 19” Zenith black and white TV. I was wearing those striped shorts with fringe that were in style at the time and a Joe Namath #12 shirt waiting for blast off...I think there may have been an ice cream sundae.

I remember being at Dad's boss's celebration party in Iran as Apollo 11 . . .
. . . was headed back home. There wasn't television in SW Iran then; we had telescopes and binoculars, scanning the night sky for the return module. No prouder day for any American . . .
