I never knew what the battleship . . .

 

. . . Musashi was named after, but after reading Miyamoto Musashi's Wikipedia entry it's at least possible it was named after him.  The Wiki entry for the battleship indicates it was named after the province of the same name; if anyone reading this knows the definitive answer, please share it.


The reason I train with roughly a dozen cues with different shaft woods, ferrule and joint materials, and tips, is to understand their characteristics which in turn optimizes shot-making.  The more I practice with a variety of cues the better I seem to get.  Interestingly enough, a former pro I took several lessons from said precisely the opposite, that one should train and play with a single cue.  

I wonder who's right.
