IMO these watches are not there yet. The Apple Watch requires it be connected to a phone to work (at least that's what is speculated as of the press release). Just like you JerryW, I think I will be keep my AP on my wrist for a while! -MW

.. with one somewhere next year. The only disadvantage is the fact you won't be able to wear a real watch .... so i'm not 100 % convinced, but i do think it will be a succes and a lot of other people will buy it. I would prefer it above any other quartz, ... 

Maybe someone will design a replaceable module that you can swap out as technology advances? A JLC Reverso...mechanical on one side, gadget watch on the other! :) -MW

You hit same valid points about these gadget watches. One they figure out the battery I think it will sway a bigger interest. I almost got a Galaxy Gear 2 as you can root it and unlock it's potential but I'd rather have a regular mechanical watch on my wr... 

It looks like all the other smart watches on the market today including the strap. I don't think it'll sell well at all. And the worse part of it is the battery may last a day. Battery life needs to be at least 2 or 3 days IMO! - AT

The battery is one of the biggest problems with these wearables. The Apple Watch has limited function so it's power requirements are less. What they allowed the attendees at the big press release handle was a non usable device so it will be interesting to...
