The battery is one of the biggest problems with these wearables. The Apple Watch has limited function so it's power requirements are less. What they allowed the attendees at the big press release handle was a non usable device so it will be interesting to see what the actual production models can actually do. Screen size is a limiting factor so the UI must be designed well to make it successful. IMO these things need another year or two to be a solid device.

IMO these watches are not there yet. The Apple Watch requires it be connected to a phone to work (at least that's what is speculated as of the press release). Just like you JerryW, I think I will be keep my AP on my wrist for a while! -MW

You hit same valid points about these gadget watches. One they figure out the battery I think it will sway a bigger interest. I almost got a Galaxy Gear 2 as you can root it and unlock it's potential but I'd rather have a regular mechanical watch on my wr...
