Let me first say...
that I have alwas liked your avatar Andrew! It is in my eyes a very successful shot of Reverso elegance!
My avatar is a painting. It is by a Danish artist who mostly does cartoon style, but the day I saw this painting named "Raindog" in a gallery, I felt that it almost mirrored my mood that day. A little lonely and melancholic - almost solemn - on the outside, but really more thoughtful and pensive on the inside. And further, it also reminds me of the city in the light of early sunrise - something I have always liked.
I do enjoy looking at people's avatars here, but I don't think they could ever influence my opinion on the statements made (in either direction).

PS: The most remarkable avatar here in my mind - the one that to me almost represent the person rather than the screen name - is Graham's helmet with the reproduction of the "Scream" by Munch. I love it!
