My avatar is my
hometown coat of arms. I'm very proud of being born there and that my son is 5th generation of my family
born there so basically we are among not so many old families in town.
The coat of arms of Zagreb is based on the arms of Gric community from XIIIth century, picturing a three-towered city with opened doors on a hill, followed by a star and a crescent. Until the end of 18th century it was used with the red background. After the unification into the modern city in 1850, in 1896 the new blue coat of arms was adopted.
Users avatar is my favorite way of identifying other Purists and
I hope I didn't made lot of wrong assumptions about other members based on their avatar :0)
I never changed my avatar and I think I never will it is just like a trademark of each member
IMHO!
Avatar on PPro is one of my favorite issues every time I open a post I first flash the avatar so I know who is
writing a post it is kind of synesthetic experience for me so please don't change your avatars.
All the best in New Year and to many more great post from you.
Best
Damian

I didn't mean to link your personality with that screaming fellow My point is just that your avatar is really cool and since my first steps here on PPro I have not come across many members where I instantly think of their avatar when seeing a post. All th...

Avatar comes from the Sanskrit word Avatāra , meaning to pass down or pass over, and in Hindu mythology it embodies a concept similar to that of incarnation. In computing it refers to a user’s representation of him/herself, usually in the form ...

Hi Bob, That’s a perfect choice for an avatar: something you created yourself and bold enough in a 1 inch square to bounce off the page. You are now immediately recognisable to me! I had to look up Giclée , but I am now better educated and you will have t...

Well, I guess I've been sleeping since I missed this one but perhaps it's never too late to make my contribution. My avatar is the Chinese character for "ice" which is pronounced bing in mandarin. I guess from that, my parents got "Ping" somehow. There ar...
