I think the Lamy 2000 is a great option for every day use. It’s a piston filler, so it holds more ink than most converters. The cap is not a twist-off, so quick access. It posts easily and snaps on securely. I have the medium nib as well as the fine nib. ...
So, the 2000, for example, has a complex, silver barrel band, individually numbered. The filling system is excellent, the clip adjustable for shirt or jacket and the whole thing a quality product.
That was a huge concern if the 200 was small, my Montblanc is the 145 version and I use it uncapped but it fits and feels amazing. The Pelikan Pura also came up in my searches but the more traditional looks of the Pelikans regular series clinched it.
I like the Pelicans and the Lamy 2000, no question. But as a daily writer nothing beats the Japanese stuff. Try a Platinum 3776 Century (M or B nib). Even after 6 weeks unused it will write at once because of a perfect sealing. And it‘s not blinky 😉 Anoth...
They were mine in grad school. Usually, they come with cartridge converters which might not get you through the whole day if you’re writing a lot. The Pilot 823 has a piston, though, and is universally beloved.
