Picard is my favorite as well as TNG was
my favorite show from junior high when it debuted in 1987 with "Encounter at Farpoint" all the way through to college and the final episode, "All Good Things" in 1994.
Now you got me nerding out! LOL

And he even made \'Waiting for Godot\' borderline bearable to me. He\'s not particularly passionate about Startrek though, which is a killer criterion for me in terms of him being favourite...

Sean David Kenney played the crippled 'Captain' Christopher Pike in that episode and the healthy Pike was "played" by Jeffrey Hunter (of the original pilot)... Kenney was thus another 'captain' ; ) IMHO the back story to the two part show ("The Menagerie"...
