Avery Brooks has done a spectacular job IMHO.

And he even made 'Waiting for Godot' borderline bearable to me. He's not particularly passionate about Startrek though, which is a killer criterion for me in terms of him being favourite...

I like them all but Voyager is the one that strung up the most emotion. The series ending is particular dramatic.
