Welding aluminum is tricky but it looks like they have some really good craftsman in the shop. Did they start one up? How'd the engine sound?

By the bore and stroke....
...it looks to be an LS2 V8. By the 297kW, it would seem to be pretty much a standard engine, not much mass for it to push if that 1100kg is correct.
WOW! This is a piece of art and with vintage looks that is hardly avaible nowadays.
