English use Durex to tape things together; Americans and Aussies might use Scotch tape for that purpose and Durex for something else.
English and Aussie cars have bonnets where yours have hoods (in either case, an interesting allusion to apparel).
We have no idea what a turnpike is but it looks a lot like an Aussie freeway or an English motorway.
An American roots for the team, an Englishman roots around in his garage, a good Aussie would do neither but a promiscuous Aussie might do both.
There's a thesis in this somewhere....

I don't like to give away too much information about myself, especially on the road. So I would not want to advertise my age, sex, etc on my vehicle by a license plate. Also, women tend to buy feminine coloured cars, a security consultant would frown upon...

i've never heard of Durex being used to tape things up. i use Duck tape or 'gaffer tape' as its often called. in fact coming from an age before HIV was publicised i dont remember using durex for much at all :) too much information. G
