Trickers are an old UK company on a level with Crockett & Jones
i have a pair of trickers black brogues that i bought about 25 years ago. i bought them from a charity shop for £5.00 as i was very poor then, but i've worn them as my best shoes for 25 years and had them resoled twice. no idea how old they really are, but they are still in A1 condition. unfortunately my feet have started to get slightly bigger, whether its age or weight i dont know, but they will be going back to a charity shop for recycling in a short while. i just need to find a pair of shoes i can afford that look and will wear as well.
Trickers are a old Nottingham company like Crockett and Jones.

but I do like your John Lobbs a lot. I general I like the way Santoni shoes are made, just find the noses too narrow at the moment. I rather have a more classic nose, bit rounder. Thanks for the pics, your collection looks very good. GEO

Our winters are so mild. These shoes are not made for ice and snow like we know from Canada. I live most of the time in the south part of Europe, where it never really gets that cold. GEO
