I will check out the other brands you mentioned, coming from such a patron of shoes as yourself, I feel confident that they will suit my needs.
The discount we had here in California for John Lobb was surprising small, only 30% and they didn't have the shoe I wanted in my size. I'll have to wait until next time.

I'm not sure if this pair has it, but if you ever go into a John Lobb store, notice the curved area on the bottom of some of the shoes, it is just in front of the heel but before the rest of the sole (in the middle), that curvature is much harder to make ...
