I have found myself interested in floor globes recently and am now considering one for my home office. There are many options (illuminated, non-illuminated, antique ocean, blue ocean, etc.). I was initially interested in getting one with a diameter of 32"...

My father gave me his floor globe that he purchased in the 1970's, it was produced in the 1950's. It is a great conversation piece, the world has changed quite a bit since this one was created. Will post some pictures tomorrow.
