Yes, I've heard of him...
...and his work looks good, but I've not played any of his remakes. I am an acoustic guitar fan, but if I stumbled across a '54 Oxblood Les Paul like the one Jeff Beck played in someone's attic one day I would not be sad. The Gibson Custom shop offers a reissue of this model, but I'm probably at my limit when it comes to guitars at this point.
