Here are some facts to consider when comparing a Sonata with the Breguet Alarm:
Functions:
Reminder or alarm setting:
Sonata 24h in both directions
Breguet 12h in one direction
Date window:
Sonata with Big Date window
Count down Indicator:
Sonata has a count down indicator in addition to the alarm setting
Chiming time:
The chiming time of the Sonata is approx 60 seconds
The sound of Breguet's alarm is approx. 15 seconds
Type of sound/chime:
Sonata has a classic chime (similar to the sound of a Sonnerie en Passant or Minute Repeater)
Breguet's alarm has a cricket type sound

Hi all, what do you think is the best alarm watch? I have been thinking to get Sonata, how do you compare Sonata with Breguet Reveil du Tsar, or JLC Amvox or any other alarm watch? how does each sound? please enlighten me. cheers, Ed

The Sonata is just U.N.C.O.M.P.A.R.A.B.L.E

IMHO, the Duometre is the most beautiful chronograph currently made ...
... and has no direct counterpart in UN's program. From a practical point of view, the Sonata makes more sense. But then, what has common sense to do with high-end mechanical timepieces?? Regards, Marcus

Really, you can't get wrong with the Sonata, it is the most unique and most practical of all mechanical wristwatch alarms, and its sound is a class of its own! Just don't forget to present it here when you got it! Regards, Marcus
