I have to agree, with some corrections. The alarm is not loud, no power reserve indicator.

Case apart, I cannot realize that the Sonata is 21 years old. The dial is so modern, the complications are almost unrivaled, and this is such a perfect travel companion. This is the kind of watch you are feeding a special relationship with. The excitement...

Another Oechslin creation I think. The thing I love about this watch is that the dial is so "welcoming". Somehow makes so many complications look not so complex.

I should have kept them all. I was a big UN fan back then. Sort of my favorite brand.
So many great designs. Not even counting the Freak and that 3 series of incredible collector pieces. Once Rolf Schneider died everything went downhill for a while.
Well then, perhaps i should visit my local AD at some point?
This is my 60th birthday this weekend. Damn, seems like only yesterday when he first posted the prototype/original Freak on TZ.

I happen to like your original version the most. The bulky crown guards work well with the massive case, and I like the ovoid hands. The text doesn't overwhelm the dial, as was sometimes the case from watches of this era. It will be interesting to revisit...
