I know I can set it backwards .... intellectually, that is ...
... but my stomach is not so sure if I should do it. While I am of course fully convinced of the construction's ruggedness, I have - horologically - grown up with the stories about the delicacy of perpetual calendars in general, and I am thus hesitating if I should really set the watch backwards, over a February/March change, without a state of national emergency forcing me to do so ...

I think I would wait ...
As you say, you could 'force' the change again and it would be interesting on an intellectual level, but on an emotional level I think you should wait. It will certainly make Monday February 28, 2011 something to look forward to, with a leap year in 2012....

Ulysse Nardin is traditionally very tight-lipped about their Basel releases. Normally, they only present one or two novelties earlier, like the "El Toro" this year, but the major releases are kept secret until the very last day. Even most of the UN staff ...

I did it!
I was away on the 28th si when I got back I set it to the 28th and watched it "do is thing" starting at 9pm ;-) As a side note setting back on March 1st will show 31, 30, 29 over 24 hours, the three days don't switch back between 12am and 9pm.

Well much to my shame I must admit I have never witnessed a "non-simulated" month change since I got the QP in February, won't happen tonight. If memory serves all will be done at 00h05 so that can't count for a sleepless night ;-)
