Dear friends, I moved to a new home, which is the reason for my silence in the past weeks. I am still not through all the boxes cluttering the rooms, still trying to mount all the lamps, faucets, showers, cables, to get used to that silly digital control ...  

Hope all is better for you, and that you're happy with your new home... And as for playing with your UN PC, you know better than everyone else here that you can set it backwards and allow you a new session without having to wait for the next year! Very Be... 

... but my stomach is not so sure if I should do it. While I am of course fully convinced of the construction's ruggedness, I have - horologically - grown up with the stories about the delicacy of perpetual calendars in general, and I am thus hesitating i... 

As you say, you could 'force' the change again and it would be interesting on an intellectual level, but on an emotional level I think you should wait. It will certainly make Monday February 28, 2011 something to look forward to, with a leap year in 2012.... 

Welcome Back Marcus.. I am very excited to hear what Basel has to offer.. Do you have any information on what they might intro. this year.. I cant wait the 8 days till the show lol!!

Ulysse Nardin is traditionally very tight-lipped about their Basel releases. Normally, they only present one or two novelties earlier, like the "El Toro" this year, but the major releases are kept secret until the very last day. Even most of the UN staff ... 

Looking forward to your reports, you wrote "from the 20th", are you staying a few days? I'll be there on the 22nd and will check out the UN booth this year!

I was away on the 28th si when I got back I set it to the 28th and watched it "do is thing" starting at 9pm ;-) As a side note setting back on March 1st will show 31, 30, 29 over 24 hours, the three days don't switch back between 12am and 9pm.

... I will do the "switch" as well, as soon as the house does not look like a construction site ... Regards, Marcus

both have been pretty nervous, as you can imagine. This was not astonishing, there were strange people all around, coming and going, no room remained a safe harbour for them, and their beds, better: blankets had to be moved to another place practically ev... 

It's 10.55pm here and the day has changed halfway already :...  

All is in order, from what I see... So, you begin to have some sleepless nights spending your time to admire the magic of the perpetual calendar ballet? Best! Nicolas

Well much to my shame I must admit I have never witnessed a "non-simulated" month change since I got the QP in February, won't happen tonight. If memory serves all will be done at 00h05 so that can't count for a sleepless night ;-)
