Winding the watch
I recently purchased a GMT Big Date and am wondering if you all think something is wrong. To wind the watch, the manuel says to unscrew the crown and turn the crown clockwise to wind it. It also says that about 30 turns of the crown should wind the watch. Clockwise would be the direction I turn the crown to unscrew it, but on my watch it seems that it winds when I turn the crown not in the direction that I used to unwind it(clockwise), but in the opposite direction(counter-clockwise). Does this seem odd or is this a mistake in the manuel? Also will 30 tuns of the crown wind the watch to fill the 42 hour power reserve? I find the winding the watch 30 times and letting it sit with no wear time does not produce anywhere near 42 hours of working time. Thanks everyone.

I agree with the others. I unwind the watch counter clockwise and wind it clockwise when the crown is in position C (which is the one for winding). However, I recall from the sales rep at the jewelry store, where I bought the watch, that 40 full winds are...
