satisfaction one gets from such knowledge--exemplified in various other posts about "stealth" pieces.  Of course, no one would ever characterize the Freak as a "stealth" watch!  And I quite agree with your comments throughout this thread about this particular watch.  Those of us with the opportunity to own one are quite fortunate, indeed.

On the other hand, it is a rare experience in which one can share the excitement of ownership of such a watch.  It is primarily in WIS settings such as this one (and gatherings of PuristS) that it is appreciated.  I suppose much depends on where one lives and one's circle of friends.  On balance I appreciate the stealth factor in many fine timepieces (perhaps most evident with vintage watches--"Oh, it is just an old watch").
