Great choice and fine taste in a sports watch!

I almost got this too but went for a less pricey Breguet Marine few months back (also a beautiful piece).

The blue lacquer on your watch dial is very mesmerizing. I looked at it for a long time I recall seeing how well crafted and enjoying the depth of the dial with the lacquer. The blue color is also very nice and harder to capture on photos I feel.

VC hit it it of the ballpark with that dial. And the Overseas Chrono was already a fantastic watch. Enjoy it!

is somehow greater than any VC Overseas that has come before it. The blue color is dramatic, incredibly beautiful, the flat un-guilloched dial... gives a funny coherence to the oversize date that works better than any other Overseas. Maybe it is the blue ...
