Botha re nice straps but the matte one just gels better with the watch for me - that second picture really shows how well it pairs. And even in more intense light it works well, being a closer match to the case 🙌🏻

Both versions work well, I prefer the nonglossy

High quality materials and the leather liner he uses is so soft on the inside. But the biggest difference was being able to customize the hole positions and spacing - almost like a micro adjust ability with straps - so much more comfortable.

It depends on the company making the strap. This one is labelled as matte but it's actually semi matte to my eyes: On the other hand, this one is labelled as "super matte" and is pretty dry: ...  

When I order straps I tend for matte

It highlights the chrono hand beautifully.

I come at this one with the assumption that this strap will be more of a casual wearer than a formal look. From that perspective the matte is more in line and, as someone noted, won't overpower the look of the watch.

But that is based on my sense of style (or lack thereof).

in this case I think the glossy one just looks fantastic. Glossy often means oversaturated in color, but that is not the case here. The matte one looks a bit dusty by contrast.

The light does seem to mute it a lot, but I think the dusty characterization is still fair.

Glossy is too shiny and blingy for me. You have chosen a perfect color which compliments that watch dial perfectly! 👍🏻

I think the color on the matte one is a better match for the watch as well. Plus I generally prefer matte gators to glossy ones. On another note, stellar Cornes de Vache, this is the best version of them all. And Aaron‘s straps are a top choice. ...

I'm afraid another vote for the matt from me again as it is just personal preference but I much prefer the look of a matt strap. Marc

The CDV looks good on pretty much anything - the dial is pretty much a blank canvas to work with. I love the Serapian strap on the stainless CDV. The pin buckles are relatively inexpensive so I bought a number of VC straps in different colors and swap the...

The VC Gloss. I like the extra intensity of the blue — it pops a bit, but not over the top!
