Played with them last December and I like the overall look, but the cramped month and luck of seconds hand instantly disqualify this reference.
The one more appealing was the complete calendar, but here I prefer the white gold gray dial, or the Excellence Platine, with the platinum dial.
Did I mentioned the price is insane…???

And I fully agree concerning the price. The 41 mm Complete Calendar is a bit large for my wrist (and for the movement), but I agree that the dial is really well made and appealing. Or course, the Excellence Platine is top! Best, Emmanuel

and I'm not a big fan of PC. The YG Batman would have been nice without a date. The rest was not that exciting, your PP easily eclipses them all.

Yes the guilloché 43013 have a lot of charm.
And so does the 1912. But the full yellow gold Chronomètre Royal didn't appeal to me. Best, Emmanuel
I have a fondness for 2-tone so the white gold is appealing...
...but the older VC QPs are seemingly a great option at attractive prices...
I thought I would love this two-tone PC, but I didn't.
The rose gold felt more attractive for me. And I far prefer the vintage ref. 43013. And, above all of them, my Chronometro Gondolo! Best, Emmanuel

I fully agree that the older PC reference looks more compelling overall! Is it just me or is the case on that also a tad smaller? On first glance I found the new one would have benefited from shaving 2mm off 😉 And didn’t have that impression with the olde...

Yes, the 43031 is only 36 mm vs 36.5 mm for the new Traditionnelle models. The lugs are also thinner and the stepped rounded bezel gives a completely different impression than the flat bezel of the Traditionnelle case. The 1912 is really a lovely watch. B...
I wanted to like the 1921, but didn't find it pleasing on my wrist.
I mean the 36,5 mm variant, as the 40 mm would be too big for me. Whereas the 1912 is really appealing to me.
You may want to try the larger one, too…
Sometimes these things work in strange ways 🤪👍🏻 And what sounds unlikely on paper works like a charm in practice 🙌🏻
