It just doesn't look right
My reaction is very unscientific and not based on specific knowledge but this watch just does not have the VC "look".
The "guilloche'" looks like it is embossed rather than true guilloche. Also, I don't recognize the design. Finally, the combination of "large" Roman numerals and the diamonds just don't go together.
As I said, this is just a visceral reaction.

You need to get the back opened and have a look at the inside of the back to see the markings as well as the movement. JB
