Isn't it fun to wear such a beatuiful example today of a gold watch from bygone days. When wearing this one, as well as others like it from other brands, you feel like you have something special on your wrist.

So it's 69 years old.

I love the vintage VCs with gold cases and champagne dials, like yours here.

...that is hard to define. I always think of them as the ultimate 'gentleman's' watch...

I was originally looking for a Patek 2526 and came across this piece during my hunt which end up being a quarter of the price. I felt pretty lucky as I like this piece as much as I would have liked the 2526.

I am looking for vintage automatic V&C which sub-second.I guess your watch used caliber 498. And the caliber 1070, only appeared in the forum discussions and did not see any physical objects.

Which was VC's first automatic movement that had a rotor. The 1070 movement is very rare to find as well.

The watch is superb and you made an amazing choice with that strap. Can you post more pictures of the strap and the references? Where did you buy it? Thank you!

The strap was purchased directly from VC. I don't remember the reference off hand, I'd have to look it up.
