=D it needed a lot of training to reach that resilience

Had to gain 10kg of fat, and slowly acclimatize through autumn by dipping into the cold swimming pool daily for 30min, until the dead of winter, where the pool temp dips to 5 degrees on some mornings. The cold water pierces ones senses, and ignites a euphoric state of mind somehow.

I almost fainted once, after getting out of the cold water. I think blood rushed into the limbs once I was out of the water. Started seeing black dots in my vision.

I think the acclimatization has to do with the thyroid function.  One feels pulses of heat intermittently released when swimming in the extreme cold. I had to keep moving to keep the blood flowing. Heart rate was about 156 bpm to be comfortable in that kinda cold.
