Hello dear Captain! My pleasure to host and nice to share…
… the passion for this Bond film. I can well understand it inspired you to take up Scuba diving. The U/W scenes are truly breathtaking and thrilling.
I remember viewing the film for first time in February 1966 with my dad at a Miami City theater. The film was released at ends of 1965 if memory doesn’t fail.
A few weeks before viewing the film I had the pleasure of meeting Jordan Klein (at his diving shop in Miami) who made the scooters and the minisub used to stole the bomb in the film and maker of UW camera housings. Also part of the film crew. I had an interesting chat with him.
I could see the mentioned sub and scooters exhibited in his dive shop and also bought some pieces of my equipment in his shop.
This film always brings me so fond memories!!

Minute track is great. I simply had a quick look at my BPs of
the 2000’s they all have minute tracks. Perhaps it was common with BP in those days.
I wasn’t into watches back then. The current Villeret
line, as you for sure you know, it hasn’t minute track. It loses some functionality and I see the dials a bit naked. Anyway, elegant pieces.

Omega probably used all their remaining cal 269 and 286 movements . . .
