Hi p@trice,
Sure, I buy only the watches that I like to wear. But sooner or later things change.
Even the watches that I will "hand down" to my children, there are aspects that I would like to change...and if a "perfect" watch ever shows up, there is a watch which will need to be sold.
I guess I am looking for a photo of that watch "which will be sold" for that next perfect watch.
For example...my J*D Equation of Time.
This is meant to be a keeper, a watch that I purchased for my first son. It is one of the most beautiful watches that I have ever seen imho. The sun along the horizon...perfect for the EOT complication. HOWEVER, look at the printing on the EOT curve...notice the offset of the printing at +5 and +10...drives me crazy. If another watch worthy for my son is ever made, I will probably sell this to purchase it. So far in 8 years, nothing close...except for the PuristS IGOTT AP LE.

I don't see it as a sad or bad event, all my watches teach me something and help me refine my taste (which may not suit everyone or anyone at all).
Perhaps you've been extremely careful or patient and have avoided this issue...
I would be extremely envious of you
HAGWE,
Mike
