WristScan

I have not yet met Pplater.

He and I, I believe are in different ligue when it comes to horology. I am a complete novice and at the same time I am a complete enthusiast in mechanical horology, I have been since I was about 8 years old and dismembering my watches to see how they worked and always asking myself, how come they put so many bits when they are not needed...needless to say my watches never worked after I put them back togethersmile I think Pplater and I have different view points on watches, although I would love to wear a Philippe Dufour watch, shall I say Master work? Or a Laurent Ferrier or Kari Voutilainen etc. ...well, I think I will never, (never is a word which should never been usedsmile ) have one which will grace my wrist, mainly for financial reason. At the end of the day, I think that the reason of wanting to own or wear a certain watch has to be what it represents, to have history, either by who, which company, when, how it started or perhaps who wore it and why in which circumstances it was used. Of course I admire very, very, immensely the work on the mouvement of the Timekeeping Marvels" that the Masters "above mentioned" have and are still created but perhaps, just perhaps, we are not talking anymore about horology but merely or absolutely about "Aesthetics"
