My cue maker has teak . . .
. . . from the deck of the battleship USS California, but I think he uses it just for decoration, not for shafts or handles. Light, both physically and in terms of coloration, teak is extremely durable, and while we know it primarily as deck planking material, it's also used for construction and furniture in southern Asia. There are two beautifully carved teakwood chests from Thailand in my parent's living room.

. . . the crystal is highly reflective, so it's hard to get a decent shot of the dial. This was the best of more than sixty wrist shots taken yesterday, and still not entirely satisfactory. Art

I've probably taken 500 pictures of this but have only 46 in the album. They are taken in different environments with changing light. To shoot in daylight is probably the best, but not in direct sunlight. Best regards Anders ...
