This was a real hope and dream fulfilled!
In fact I actually did not have this is my "wishlist" because I felt it was out of the realm of possibilities from the boutique.
I had another piece in my wishlist that I thought was more attainable.
It turns out, that the more attainable piece was not available - and so perhaps serendipitously, the below was offered to me and somewhat in a fever dream I kept on asking the manager - are you serious?
Even after prepayment of the piece in preparation of picking it up - I still didn't believe it. I was nervous, sweaty, heart racing and in an incredibly anxious state.
After seeing it in person for the first time - I was just floored - and had one of those really emotional moments that touched . A really memorable day!
Yes, it's more than just a watch, more than just a brand, and more than just a hobby - and with the wonderful community here, it becomes a real part of what bring me joy.

Really considering giving the quartz version a try. The Santos does creep into my head every once in a while, but I think I'll follow my heart and go with the tank. Don't want to trade anything for it so I'll keep what I have and just add the Cartier.
Not 100% sure on the quartz choice yet
but leaning that way. Only person that would know is me. All my others are automatic or manual and I haven't had a quartz watch since I was a kid, may give it a try.
