I can understand most of yours points except the price you suggest
Watches are in general too expensive but saying this would be the perfect 7k watch

Look, we have the Rolex explorer 1 and 2 the yachtmaster 1 and 2.... now if exactly that same chronomaster sport would have been a Rolex watch with 100% the same looks, quality and technical aspects and Rolex would call it the Daytona 2
They would probably ask 16k-17k for it because of that special 1/10th and date function
And everyone would buy it and say 16,500 is a good price
And buy the way the waitinglist would be 10 years.

IMHO Zenith's signature tri-color chronograph dial works best with the white dial. There's most of a contrast. But, I think Zenith has a hit on their hands.
