This is THE rule and there are only a few exceptions ( Panerai for example ) this is definitely a watch that needs a strap.

For me the leather strap. I can’t imagine the heft of a 50k platinum bracelet ! Plus I tend to not like bracelet other than sports watch. Otherwise this ref really caught me off guard. I don’t really like a lot of the zenith design language but the platin... 

except for the "bricks" finishing of the movement. That said, even with this bricks finishing, I personally find this watch much more interesting than the 1908: historically and horologically, it's something else for me. The first reedition of the Calibre... 

But that particular one might be a part of the anniversary set (is it three or four watches in blue?).

Honestly don’t see much interest around in zenith other then chrono they have supplies. For me the 1908 is just super cool case design, dial guilloche and color, as well as being platinum. Additionally it is sub 10mm which the gfj is not. Movement wise th... 

Some examples might still be available here or there. I tend to agree concerning Zenith, but Caliber 135 is a true piece of horological history.

And I love the element of fun and insanity in the watch hobby!

Only problem is how much they charging for the bracelet. But sparkle of the watch goes well with the slightly sparkly platinum. I know how platinum somewhat glows/shines.. and that would go so well with this case. Leather is too subdued and doesn't match ...

I would always miss the bracelet... once you see it you can't unseen .. So either no GFJ or with the bracelet.
