I would go for the El Primero ...
I'm generally not a big fan of the Pilot line, I find them a little too much style over substance - though I do own the Big Date. This annual calendar does have the interesting complication of using a very simple annual calendar mechanism - the same one found in the Ochs und Junior watches.
If you do end up going for the 42mm El Primero it would be worthwhile looking for the Striking Tenth limited edition from a few years back. A really nice complication that highlights the El Primero movement...

The chrono sub-dials are very close on the movement so when you increase the size of the dial to 45mm it starts to look unbalanced to me ...
Also depends on your wrist ... 45mm is on the bigger side. For me, Zenith's strength is when they stick to tradition a bit more ...

I'd go for the pilot annual calendar without any doubt. Simply love the design of the pilot line and with 48mm it has a wonderful wrist presence. Good luck with your decision Laurent
