Spotted: Cars & Trucks Before Breakfast
I had planned to show you all the trucks and cars that i've seen over the past week or two that didn't fit into the themes for the day (such as Red, White, Blue trucks). But my wife authorized a rare trip to the donut shop, and on our way - well I think you can guess what happened. Saturday mornings are a good time to find the vehicles that might otherwise have been taking their owners to work. So here are the morning's finds.
BTW - my uncle David, who is a successful & artistic photographer, said "crop wider so we can see the context". So here are some vehicles with wider cropping. I will continue to cut trash cans, attacking dogs and angry owners running out to the curb... otherwise, enjoy the contexts.
As you have probably noticed, I try to take photos from two angles. This car's setting restricted me, so I give you Cadillac from the front,

and Dodge Dart from the back

Nice wheels really help the look of the trucks

Could Chevrolet label one of their models APACHE nowadays? I think not.

Do giant trucks seem to come in pairs, like Royal Oak Offshore watches?

This very nicely-done paint job makes the back of the truck look like it has fallen off. The rims are radical

I like the black rims, chrome lug nuts on this Camper Special too. You can see the bracket on the cab (for stabilizers) and the 3 holes in the door (for large mirrors) as evidence it used to carry a big camper shell.

Remember that pathetic excuse of an Imperial yesterday? This is the real thing, desired by Emperors and worthy of admiration, if only for its free-standing headlights and tail lamps.

The Cadillac Eldorado was GM's competitor for the Imperial This is a few years later, and features an 8.2 liter, 500 cubic inch V8 - the largest-ever production V8 offered in a passenger car.

Now switching gears completely to a run of little German sporty cars...

And culminating with an extremely strange American car

or motorcycle that is covered in foam, floats, bounces off dangerous objects, etc.
SPIRA4U.com if you care. I think I might take a trip over to their dealership today and drive one, why not?

Three old Fords -- van, small van, and cab-over pickup

I don't get it.

And another pair of boring beige-y Volvos

seldom used, judging from the spiderwebs

I threw in this rear view so you can see the 'hood.

Time for my breakfast now ...
