In launch colour red the car makes me think MX5. It is not as beautiful as the car it is replacing! [nt]

As an Aston Martin owner, I am sure that this car an evolution of the spirit of Aston Martin.
What's with the all round lip of carbon fibre?
Does not suit the car and makes it look... not racy odd, but very odd. Far from the usual elegant understated Aston design. Personally, not impressed with the look anyway.
If I ever decided to swap my watches for a car
I would be looking at the Vantage and the Huracan. But as I am a watch addict, I will stick to watches

Other than good power, he doesn't go into much detail about anything else. Doesn't give me any meaty detail as a potential buyer...
I'll have to see the car in person, but so far I'm not in love with it. The service at my local Aston Martin dealer should be good, but I've got a relationship with my Mercedes dealer going back 10+ years. I'd just drive an AMG GT. And the AMG GT is supposedly already very good.
And I keep on saying I need an SUV or very large car for safety reasons. There is some statistic that 1 out of 3 car accidents in California (I live in California) has something to do with an "impaired" driver.
I haven't driven a McLaren, but since 2014 12C prices are in the $130K range, and going down, I'd consider a 12C if the dealer experience was great. Maybe gotta test drive that first.

I remember you and the restaurant very well. I only mentioned the California thing for others reading.
I used to be a big fan of Aston Martins. After driving one, I was less impressed. And after a bizarre experience with the American distributor, I was downright downhearted. I still want to like the brand.
I've been driving a Mercedes product since I've been licensed and I am happy with the experience I have with my service advisor. This service portion is the most important part to me. I want to know the basics of what's going on and I want to know some information about my vehicle's overall condition. Too much information and I'm over my head. Too little information and I don't know what I'm paying for. And I want to know what to expect upcoming so I'm not caught by surprise. I ventured off for a year to BMW, and while the BMW was smoother, quieter, and had a better driving feel, I wasn't too happy with the overall service experience over three service advisors at two dealerships. Because of this BMW experience, I'm definitely reluctant to try anything without first knowing something about the service experience and what to expect.

really interacted with the AML Americas staff in recent years other than an email or two with Matthew Clarke who is now the PR and Brand manager and whom I've always found very helpful. On the other hand, the recently appointed Americas president (Ms. Schwab) has literally once written back to my inquiry and never since, my communication with Mr. Jenkins who was her predecessor was always close to instant. I empathize with your service concerns, I now drive an old Toyota truck . Cheers, Filip
