Thank you for sharing! I don't like to dump on any watch brand but FPJ has struck me as a long con

When people don't seem to care that their complications don't actually work what else is there to say?

What you've said makes a lot of sense, the manufactured hype would explain the cult like following of the brand irrespective of the quality of the product.

It's to Kool-Aid. That appreciation tastes oh so sweeeet!

I enjoy reading your posts really — even though I own a Journe! But honestly my friend, I am curious to know what makes you smile ? The top 3 in your stable, what would they be? smile

As of late, the watch #1 watch on hit list the blue dial Eichi II.  In my collection I don't like to play favorites but these few get a lot of wear:
Lange 1815 Chronograph

My JLC Geophysic from 1958

LM101 in Palladium

And last but certainly not least...

My go anywhere, do anything, 5817

What about you?

Best,

Hmmm.... I’ve been going through a bit of a Patek phase recently. So the number one watch that gets heaps of wrist time would be the 5960p followed by the 3940r. Apart from those two my De Bethune DB25 in wg/40mm is also back in the rotation (God I miss this one!). However amidst my current infatuation with old Patek, Lange never leaves my wrist. I still fiddle with the Saxonia AC every now and then, and gets 1-2 days of my week. Will snap some photos soon of the watches. Great speaking with you again mate.

Cheers
Gatsby
P.S. good call on the 1815 chrono. I think that one is a sleeper. The original Geophysic 1958 is truly a dream, congrats !!
