Patek Forever?
I always wondered about getting a tattoo. Is there anything I would want on my body forever (my lifetime)?
This was one idea I am considering. The watch is real, the tattoo is fake, BTW.
Hidden, personal, not controversial, small - prefer even smaller than this example.
Something only enthusiasts would understand. What I would want with a tattoo.
I'll play around with this idea before doing something permanent. Perhaps this is all I need to get it out of my system?
A tattoo is like a Patek, you will keep it forever - however you cannot pass it on to the next generation,
It's a cool logo....lots of people would ask what the tattoo meaning was.....most wouldn't know....
I wouldn't do your placement (it that's what you mean), but if I was so inclined to have that tattoo I'd do it in a different area.
Get it on your lower back a.k.a. a tramp stamp ;)

I love Patek. Adore them as a company. But at the end of the day, I hold no allegiance to Patek or any other manufacturer. Today all might be rosy and great. Tomorrow they decide to sell and change their business practice and start making pieces you don’t like or have a corporate vision you don’t share.
For sure I’m not going to brand myself and beholden to any corporate brand.
I live breathe and sleep Patek. But not enough to get a tattoo.

Do not do it, as a hardcode tattoo'ed man I know what it means to have something on you body that is forever.
If your opinions or taste changes, you will regret this...
what if:
- Patek sells out to Swatch
- Patek keeps on bringing out 5711 watches and looses its credibility
- You have a personal tragedy (hope not) with a Patek
- et cetra
Naah, choose something that means something to you but is eternal
I honestly have to agree with all the previous members...you know how much I LOVE Patek (and probably always will!), but I also don't like tattoos...so it's that easy of a choice for me! ;-))
However, my "compromise" has been this anniversary bracelet for the past 6 years (it was sent as a 2015 Christmas gift!).....a very simple accessory, and also the only one I *never* take off! Something along these lines could be worth thinking about

Like versus love versus own
I really like watches but I love my family and friends only thing I really own is my body not interested in renting it out for statements
I wouldn’t but if you do, you might consider a location that doesn’t detract from the watch on your wrist.
A tatoo might be nice but maybe not the calatrava cross, for the reasons aöready stated. Plus id wonder how honest this symbol really is... maybe you should choose something more genuine.

Not a chance in hell I’m going to get a tattoo of any brand, period. Branding has gone completely over the top nowadays. I even refuse to wear heavily branded clothing. I just want good quality stuff. I don’t need to be a walking advertisement for anyone. It would make me feel like an absolute tool.

Interesting topic, and of course only you will know the answer,
but in my view, no to a PP tattoo. It has to be something that you truly see yourself feeling proud of for scores to come. I would certainly avoid any branding like the plague, even if you were sponsored handsomely for it (I am sure even the Sterns would not do this. 😆).

If there is meaning beyond the obvious then perhaps. But even then, I am not so sure it’s a wise idea.
Some here will recall a Paneristi who had the Panerai logo tattoo done. This was maybe 15 or so years ago. My recollection was the logo was less about the brand and all about the how the watches and Paneristi had brought new friendships and helped through tough times. My guess is that tattoo was very meaningful.
I will throw in one more detail to consider..
I am not sure where you live or who your social circles are, but the calatrava cross can be mistaken for something else. I know, screw what other people think. Also I know what the calatrava cross means, but in certain places as a tatoo it will give off a White Power Supremacy vibe.
